Carers of West Lothian

Carers of West Lothian are a local service who can provide help, advice and assistance with a variety of support to carers. If you would like to find out more, please click here.
A carer is a person of any age who provides unpaid help and support to a relative, friend or neighbour, who cannot manage to live independently without the carer’s help, due to frailty, illness, disability or addiction.
Craigshill Health Centre works with Carers of West Lothian in identifying carers in the practice and, with the carer’s consent, will refer them to Carers of West Lothian’s support service. Carers of West Lothian provides information, support and advice to unpaid carers from age 8 and disabled people throughout West Lothian. This includes emotional and practical support, links to other resources and training and are the only organisation in West Lothian with a specific remit to support unpaid carers. The organisation is in regular contact with over 7,000 carers. Please let us know if you think you should be registered with our Health Centre as a carer.
