Travelling Abroad

Please note, that due to Covid-19 and government guidance, this service is Temporary suspended. If you think you require a travel vaccination, please complete and hand in this form no less than 6 – 8 weeks in advance.

What the Nurse Will do

A nurse will go through your travel vaccination form and will decide what vaccines, if any, you require and will arrange a prescription for them. Our nurse will phone you to discuss your form with you and advise when your prescription will be ready and when to make any appointment to come in to have your injections.

What you Need to do

You should collect your prescription from the health centre and take to the pharmacy to have vaccinations dispensed. Please note that the pharmacy does not always keep travel vaccines in stock and may need a few days to order them, in some instances it may be advisable to try a different pharmacy. Please keep vaccines in fridge and bring with you to your appointment.

Please note that you may be required to pay for some of your vaccinations as not all are available on the NHS. There are also occasions when you may be advised to attend a private Travel Clinic for more specialist travel advice or if your travel plans are less than the 6 – 8 week period.
