Available October/November/December each year for the over 65s. It is also recommended for patients suffering from chronic lung disease (including cystic fibrosis and Asthma), Heart Disease, Kidney Disease, Diabetes and Immunosuppression. If you suffer from any of those conditions and meet the NHS guidelines criteria, you will automatically receive a letter during flu season.

We have one full time & three part-time Health Visitors and a Nursery Nurse who support the team. They can give advice on general health care and deal particularly with children under 5. If you wish to contact the Health Visitors, please phone the community secretary.

All other home visits or development reviews will be organised as required. Breast feeding facilities and support are available.
Emergency Contraception
This is available up to 3 days from the time of intercourse but the earlier seen the better. Please tell the receptionist if you require this service. Confidentiality will be respected.
District Nurse
The District Nurses provide a full range of nursing services to those patients and carers that are regularly unable to make it into the health centre to see a doctor. They work with the rest of the health centre team of General Practitioners, treatment room nurses and community care workers along with social services and hospitals to provide a full care package for our disabled and housebound patients. District Nurses can be contacted via the Community Secretary.
Dietician
Can be contacted via the Community Secretary. Referral is by a doctor or nurse.
Diabetes
Patients with Diabetes are reviewed regularly by our treatment room nurse and the doctor. If you have not been checked in the last 12 months please make an appointment with the treatment room nurse.
Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
Our CPNs deal mainly with severe mental illness. Referral to the Community Psychiatric Nurse is via one of our Doctors. The CPNs can be contacted via the Community Secretary.
Community Drug Problem service (CDPS)
Referrals are made by a doctor. Follow-up will be arranged through the clinic and drug supervision clinics.
Cholesterol Checks
We offer free cholesterol checks to males over 50 and females over 60 years of age.
Childhood Immunisation
Your child will be invited to attend for Diphtheria,Tetanus, Pertussis, Meningitis C, Polio, HIB, MMR, Rotavirus and Pneumococcal at appropriate ages.These clinics are run by our Health Visitors.
